About The Position

The IT Operations role is to oversee the configuration, deployment, and daily operation of the internal IT systems and hardware used by the company’s employees. While the Cloud Engineering team manages the infrastructure for our cloud-based solution, the IT Ops Specialist is responsible for the internal corporate environment. This role focuses on providing exceptional technical support, managing corporate devices (including provisioning), and ensuring a secure, efficient IT experience for all employees from their first day to their last.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Support, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a technical support, helpdesk, or corporate IT operations role.
  • Strong hands-on experience managing Windows, Linux and macOS operating systems in a corporate environment.
  • Practical experience working with the Atlassian suite (Jira, JSM, Confluence) or other plateform for task management, ticketing, and documentation.
  • Understanding of basic corporate networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure services (AWS or equivalent) and database management systems (RDS, MongoDB, Redis, Elastic etc).
  • Solid understanding of core IT security principles, including the CIA triad (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability).
  • Experience implementing endpoint protection, managing access controls, and patching systems to mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Ability to monitor systems for security anomalies, analyze alerts, and participate in incident response protocols.
  • Familiarity with phishing defense, identity and access management (IAM), and password security enforcement.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong interest for AI tools and how they can be used to improve the effectiveness of the organization’s services

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of ITIL best practices for IT Service Management.
  • Familiarity with automation scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automating routine internal IT tasks.
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or OS-specific certifications).
  • Familiarity with container-based services (Docker, Kubernetes, Swarm Manager)
  • Hands-on experience with device and identity management platforms.
  • Specific experience with JumpCloud is a strong asset, but experience with similar tools is perfectly welcome.
  • Experience with endpoint security monitoring and auditing tools (knowledge of Elastic Security and Elastic Fleet is highly advantageous).
  • Professional or Native French.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the IT onboarding and offboarding processes, including account creation, license allocation, and access configuration.
  • Ensure secure access revocation and hardware recovery upon employee departures.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain corporate laptops (Windows, Linux, and Mac), peripherals, and mobile devices to ensure employees have the tools they need to succeed.
  • Administer Google Workspace and support Google Workspace users
  • Administer Office 365 and support users (Teams, Outlook, etc)
  • Maintain a rigorous and accurate inventory of all corporate IT assets and hardware lifecycle.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee technical requests (Helpdesk) using Jira Service Management (JSM).
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and corporate network issues promptly and courteously.
  • Administer JumpCloud for identity, access, and device management across both PC and Mac fleets to automate device setup, policies, and OS updates.
  • Enforce corporate endpoint security policies and conduct continuous auditing of all laptops using Elastic Security and Elastic Fleet , ensuring workstations remain compliant with company IT security standards.
  • Create and maintain internal user guides and IT Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within Confluence to promote employee autonomy and team knowledge sharing.
  • Assist in managing on-site IT infrastructure, such as office networking (Wi-Fi, VPN access) and conference room A/V equipment
  • Assist the Cloud Ops team with various tasks when available and necessary.
  • Participate in the on-call team rotations during off-hours
