About the Role We're looking for an IT Operations Specialist to own our internal technology infrastructure and support our growing team. You'll be responsible for managing our fleet of company devices, ensuring employees have the tools they need to be productive, and maintaining security across our systems. This is a foundational role—you'll build the processes and systems that scale with us.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in IT support, IT operations, or systems administration
  • Hands-on experience with MDM platforms (Jamf, Kandji, Intune, Mosyle, or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of macOS and Windows administration
  • Experience with identity providers and SSO (Google Workspace, Okta, Azure AD)
  • Understanding of endpoint security best practices
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong documentation habits
  • Clear communication skills—you'll work with both technical and non-technical teammates

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a startup or fast-growing company
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
  • Experience with automation and scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
  • Knowledge of network fundamentals
  • Experience supporting remote/distributed teams

Responsibilities

  • Device Management Implement and manage our MDM (Mobile Device Management) solution
  • Configure and deploy laptops and mobile devices for new hires
  • Enforce security policies across all managed devices (encryption, password policies, automatic updates)
  • Maintain hardware inventory and lifecycle management
  • Troubleshoot device issues and coordinate repairs/replacements
  • Employee IT Support Onboard new employees: device setup, account provisioning, access management
  • Offboard departing employees: device collection, access revocation, data handling
  • Serve as first point of contact for employee tech issues
  • Create documentation and self-service guides to reduce support requests
  • Access & Identity Management Manage user accounts across company systems (Google Workspace, Slack, etc.)
  • Implement and maintain SSO and access controls
  • Conduct periodic access reviews and maintain least-privilege principles
  • Manage software licenses and subscriptions
  • Security & Compliance Ensure devices meet security standards and compliance requirements
  • Monitor for security issues and respond to incidents
  • Implement endpoint protection and monitoring tools
  • Support security audits and documentation
