About The Position

The IT Operations Specialist will own day-to-day IT Access Control, serve as an escalation point for complex issues, and help mature IT Identity and Access Management practices across the organization. This role blends hands-on technical execution, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration in a healthcare environment. This role is critical to ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient technology experiences for both employees and clinicians, directly enabling high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in IT Operations, Security, or Access Control
  • Strong experience administering Entra ID or similar cloud IAM solution
  • Experience supporting remote-first or distributed teams
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across SaaS applications, endpoints, and identity systems
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
  • Experience operating in regulated environments (healthcare, fintech, or similar)
  • Authorized or able to provide required documents to work in United States or Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300), MS-102 (Administrator Expert), or similar.
  • Knowledge of HITRUST, HIPAA, SOC 2, or healthcare IT compliance standards
  • Experience with device management, MAM, and endpoint security tools
  • ITIL or other ITSM framework exposure

Responsibilities

  • Manage Entra ID tenants, users, groups, licenses, and directory integrations.
  • Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), manage identity lifecycles (joiners, movers, leavers), and perform access reviews/audits.
  • Configure and maintain Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Conditional Access policies, MFA, and SAML/OIDC SSO integrations for SaaS applications.
  • Administer workspace settings, user access, channels, and integrations for Messaging Applications (Teams, Slack, Zoom).
  • Support secure and compliant access and application delivery practices across the organization.
  • Configure and support Access Management for business applications to optimize, automate, and improve efficiency for onboarding and offboarding.
  • Ongoing management of administrative access controls to support application security, prevent data exfiltration, and maintain automated security and application patching.
  • Own and continuously improve end-to-end employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Provision hardware, accounts, system access, and security controls for new hires.
  • Partner with People Ops, Security, and Compliance teams to ensure onboarding meets healthcare and privacy requirements.
  • Ensure timely deprovisioning and asset recovery during offboarding.
  • Support IT security initiatives aligned with HITRUST, SOC2, HIPAA and healthcare data protection standards.
  • Complete UAR access reviews, and documentation of IT processes and controls.
  • Partner with Security and Compliance teams to remediate risks and implement controls.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex IT support issues across corporate and clinical teams.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of core IT systems supporting telehealth operations.
  • Proactively identify operational gaps and implement improvements to reduce incidents and support friction.
  • Support a distributed, remote workforce with a focus on clinician and care team workflows.
  • Create and maintain clear IT documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
  • Help mature IT Access management practices (least privilege, RBAC, just-in-time access).
  • Contribute to tooling evaluations and implementations as the organization scales.
