Role We are seeking an Information Technology (IT) Operations Manager to join our Information Technology Team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and optimal performance of all IT infrastructure and services that support our corporate functions and core infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization committed to innovation, sustainability, and leadership in the clean energy sector. The role is based at our Vancouver office and reports to the VP of Information Technology. Occasional travel to other LAC offices, project sites, or vendor locations may be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or Computer Science. Equivalent experience with supporting industry certifications may be considered
  • Minimum 10 years progressive experience in Information Technology service delivery
  • Minium 5 years as an expert or architect in a given technology discipline
  • Minium 3 years of leading a leading a team in the above scopes
  • Highly effective organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, including speaking, writing, and active listening.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for IT infrastructure in concert with our managed service providers leveraging emerging technologies accounting for capacity and capability planning, and technology lifecycle management.
  • Maintain operational excellence through standardized processes for IT Service Delivery including asset management, change management, incident management, problem management, and service level management.
  • Manage key resources and assets including our Microsoft Environment, Cloud footprint (Azure), Network Infrastructure, and end points in our corporate environment.
  • Own the ongoing development, implementation, and continuous improvement of departmental guidelines and work instructions in alignment with organizational policies and standards based on industry frameworks and best practice.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal governance frameworks including SOX, data privacy regulations, and mining industry-specific compliance mandates.
  • Work closely with the Digital and Data Operations and Business Systems teams as well as third-party service providers.
  • Deliver assigned initiatives and projects according to agreed scope, timelines, and budget.
  • Builds and maintains trusted relationships across all teams while championing a culture that reflects and supports our Purpose, Vision, and Values.
