Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate in English, bilingual is a plus.
  • High school diploma and 5-7 years of IT network experience or related is required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of data processing programming, systems design, problem analysis and hardware.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License.
  • CCNP certification preferred.
  • Effective communication skills required.
  • Flexibility in work schedule required.
  • Extensive experience in networking, 5 plus years.
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be able to frequently move freely about the property, maintain manual dexterity to operate job related equipment, such as telephones, copiers, etc., withstand various activities such as frequent walking, sitting for long periods and withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction.
  • Be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental contaminants including smoke.
  • Ability to lift or carry a minimum of 20 pounds unassisted in the performance of specific tasks assigned.
  • Must be able to work with others, communicate well, receive direction, and provide feedback when needed to achieve department goals and objectives.
  • Must maintain a positive attitude toward work and interface with guests in a congenial and polite manner.
  • Must be able to address stressful situations with clients with dignity and the utmost tact and politeness.
  • Must be able to touch and handle supplies in a safe and non-hazardous manner, maintaining proper hygiene, cleanliness, and disposal methods.
  • Must stay abreast of all rules and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Must know how to assign pending tickets to IT Support Team for completion.

Responsibilities

  • Network monitoring and overall network health
  • Applying updates and security patches to all network devices
  • Installing and implementing security programs
  • Evaluating network management and security software
  • Maintains current with knowledge of relevant technology, equipment, and/or systems
  • Installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls
  • Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor
  • Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation
  • Create, change, and delete user accounts per request
  • Maintains system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis.
  • Analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving system failure; escalating problems to vendor
  • Provides end users support for all gaming-based systems
  • Configuring, optimizing, fine-tuning and monitoring operating system software and servers
  • Conducting server builds.
  • Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.
  • Create, change, and delete user accounts per request
  • Maintains system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis.
  • Analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving system failure
  • Provides end users support for all corporate-based systems
  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
  • Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment.
