About The Position

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an IT Operations Analyst to join the Power Bus Way Team in Mississauga, ON. The IT Operations Analyst is responsible for managing and executing the day-to-day operational IT systems at our Mississauga site. This includes activities and technology associated in our warehouse, front office, all manufacturing sites, on-site network contact, and hardware/infrastructure associated with business applications support. The IT Operations Analyst is responsible for working directly with third party vendors to support all outsourced agreements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related, or equivalent combination in education and experience
  • 5 years’ experience in IT. Experience in all cases will include some relevant project management experience.
  • Ability to work with and program for windows PC devices and associated equipment (Printers, Scan guns, etc.) used in the support of the business’s applications.
  • Advanced PC Networking experience.
  • Hands-on experience implementing and supporting all Business Applications systems (not including ERP).
  • System implementation experience.
  • Manage software licensing.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft InTune and ServiceNow experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains daily operational support for the IT systems throughout various sites of Power Busway. This role will monitor performance, proactively look at areas for improvement and lead all issue resolution.
  • Acts as first line of support for issue resolution
  • Troubleshoots day to day issues, identifies root causes, escalates as necessary
  • Supports operations to identify process changes, support business objectives and drive efficiency.
  • Coordinates vendor support for repair of equipment
  • Reprogram equipment as needed
  • Maintains supplies and accessories for all on-site equipment
  • Creates documentation of new processes or procedures; testing documentation; specifications or proposals; training materials
  • Provides hardware maintenance for printers, laptop, PC, scanners, tablets, and other devices, maintains inventory of all devices.
  • Ability to coordinate with third-party vendors for installation and implementation of IT equipment.
  • Acts as project manager for key business initiatives where applicable.
  • Ensure that enhancements and modifications are completely tested prior to implementation.
  • Monitors the daily inventory of all devices and their performance over the course of a business day. Responsible for moving and/or transporting IT equipment from site-to-site when necessary.
  • Facilitates and/or participate in business improvement and change sessions (Kaizen workshops) in support of process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensures appropriate documentation for all activities pertaining to warehouse system management, printer management, related project work, or network improvement and change management.
  • Identifies functional gaps and determines resolutions or workarounds.
  • On-site point of contact to assist Help Desk support personnel.
  • Attend regular meetings and be attentive to schedules.
  • Other duties as assigned.
