About The Position

The IT Network Administrator will be responsible for maintaining computer networks and systems, including software, mainframes, VPNs, routers, and other physical hardware. This role involves keeping servers and workstations updated and protected, installing and configuring network equipment, and coordinating with vendors for upgrades and migrations. The administrator will also manage firewall systems, monitor network performance, and resolve software and hardware issues for users.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
2+ years experience in a network administration role
Previous experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2019 and 2022 preferred
Network certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

Serve as the on-site IT point of contact for all offices across the Upstate, supporting over 150 users and 250+ equipment nodes.
Maintain computer networks and systems, including software, mainframes, VPNs, routers, and other physical hardware.
Keep servers and workstations updated and protected with the latest patches, AV, and firewall protection.
Install and configure network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues.
Coordinate with vendors to facilitate EMR upgrades and migrations, and implement third-party solutions.
Update virus protection software to keep data and communications protected.
Manage, upgrade, and monitor WatchGuard firewall system with web blocking, AV scanning, signature checks, geolocation blocking, active threat protection, botnet detection, and data loss prevention policies.
Monitor computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks.
Monitor servers, systems, and network equipment and traffic with central MSP software.
Communicate networking issues to other employees and management.
Fix software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems.
