IT Network Administrator II - FT
About The Position
The IT Network Administrator II is responsible for the installation, extension, and maintenance of the existing hospital network. This role provides cabling and network support for PNS and its affiliated clinics, assists with the coordination and installation of network expansion projects, and coordinates the distribution of network servers and other network equipment throughout the institution. The position also ensures that all network expansion is properly documented and labeled, maintains communication racks efficiently, and coordinates the extension of the hospital's network to remote sites. All other assigned duties delegated by IT Manager, Manager IT Enterprise Network, and/or department director will be handled in a timely and accurate fashion.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/ GED
- +1 year of experience supporting and managing large scale ethernet cabling or enterprise networks
- Current knowledge and competency of Cisco technologies, LAN/WAN, AND network security
- Demonstrated customer service attitude and approach to business
- Keen attention to details
- Strong organizational, technical, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift PC and network peripherals, none to exceed 30 lbs
- Ability to walk to all network communication centers within the UMC / TTUHSC buildings
- Ability to drive to all remote network communication centers

- All other assigned duties delegated by IT Manager, Manager IT Enterprise Network and/or department director, in a timely and accurate fashion
