We are looking for highly qualified candidates to support our Wallops Range Contract. This full-time position is located onsite at the Wallops Flight facility in Wallops Island, VA.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years with a BS degree in Computer Science, information technology, mathematics or a related technical field is required
  • A minimum of ten years of related experience, including experience in coordinating and directing the work of peers
  • Position requires a Secret clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • A Masters degree in a technical field may substitute for three years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for project management of assigned information technology (IT) projects in support of mission/launch and/or facility requirements, which can include planning, design, testing, evaluation, cost analyses, program and project management and quality/risk management for assigned projects.
  • Serves as the alternate project management point of contact for all IT support required by programmatic and mission support.
  • Translate requirements created by customers and missions/programs/projects into functional requirements by service area and RITSS capability; partners with engineers to design, develop, and deploy hybrid, specialized IT solutions and services.
  • Provide project and administrative support to provide server (hardware and virtual), file, storage, and replication services to support the Range.
  • Supports planning, coordinating, implementation, and sustainment of mission-critical IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Oversees projects involving system design, development, deployment, and maintenance, while ensuring solutions meet operational and business requirements.
  • Managing initiatives related to networks, telecommunications, LAN/WAN environments, system administration, database management, and enterprise IT services, as well as coordinating technical teams and stakeholders to deliver reliable and effective technology solutions.
  • Ensures security requirements are integrated into technology acquisitions and procurement activities, supports risk management initiatives, and serves as a liaison between leadership, mission partners, and technical personnel to maintain a strong and secure IT environment.
