About The Position

The Site IT Manager is responsible for overseeing all site-level information technology systems that support warehouse and supply chain operations. This role ensures the reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of automated production and warehouse management systems. The Site IT Manager partners closely with operations, engineering, and corporate IT to troubleshoot system issues, improve workflows, manage infrastructure, and lead technology initiatives that drive performance. This leader also develops and trains the user community to maximize system utilization and operational efficiency. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or comparable work experience.
  • 2 years working with relational databases
  • 5–8 years of progressive information systems experience.
  • Experience supporting warehouse or supply chain systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of switch and router installation, management, and maintenance.
  • Advanced computer and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical documentation.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage others in a diverse environment with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to travel independently as required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional nights and weekends to support operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with relational databases.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and supply chain platforms.
  • Familiarity with automation systems and RF technology.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and reporting tools.
  • Experience with structured analysis, system design, and workflow improvement.
  • Programming language knowledge (Java or similar) helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze information processing needs using structured analysis and data modeling techniques.
  • Determine software and hardware requirements to establish, enhance, or modify systems.
  • Install, configure, monitor, and maintain warehouse systems, servers, workstations, and network infrastructure.
  • Manage switch and router installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Expand or modify systems to support new operational needs or improve workflow efficiency.
  • Review system performance indicators and logs to diagnose issues and correct errors.
  • Test, install, monitor and maintain computer systems and programs.
  • Ensure system uptime and responsiveness in a high-volume distribution environment.
  • Partner with Operations leadership to support Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), automation platforms, RF systems, and reporting tools.
  • Troubleshoot process and system issues to identify root cause and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Document and escalate system issues to Corporate IT or external support vendors as needed.
  • Track progress and status of all technology initiatives and provide clear, concise updates to leadership.
  • Serve as site project leader for technology implementations, upgrades, and data initiatives.
  • Provide recurring training to supervisors and associates on systems, applications, and reporting tools.
  • Develop user documentation and best practice guides.
  • Serve as primary site point of contact for system education and technology adoption.
  • Promote continuous learning and responsible system usage.
  • Supervise and coach IT support staff (if applicable).
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide developmental feedback.
  • Foster a service-oriented culture that prioritizes operational support and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, HR, Safety, and Finance.
  • Prepare status reports for management detailing system performance, risks, and improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure data integrity and proper system controls.
  • Maintain compliance with company IT security and data protection standards.
