About The Position

The IT Operations Manager plays a key role in driving operational excellence and supporting the effective delivery of IT services. This position also includes developing and maintaining strong vendor relationships. Serving as a connection between IT operations and business needs, the manager contributes to planning efforts, resource coordination, and aligning IT services with organizational priorities to support ongoing improvement and innovation. Requirements

  • Required Education: Associates Degree in Information Technology, or a related field (or relevant experience)
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience in IT operations, service management, or vendor management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL), and vendor management practices.
  • Proven track record in strategic planning, resource management, and large-scale project execution.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication abilities.

  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain IT service management (ITSM) frameworks, leveraging industry standards such as ITIL.
  • Monitor service performance metrics and ensure alignment with defined SLAs and KPIs.
  • Drive service delivery excellence through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee IT service desk operations, ensuring efficient incidents and service request resolution.
  • Effectively manage IT resources, including staffing, budget, and equipment, to meet organizational demands.
  • Ensure the IT team is equipped with the tools and support necessary to deliver high- quality services.
  • Oversee procurement processes to ensure cost-effective acquisition of IT products and services.
  • Define and monitor IT operations, service, and vendor management KPIs.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Champion best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement within IT operations.
  • Participates in developing and implementing comprehensive IT operations, service management, and vendor management strategies that align with the organization's business objectives.
  • Oversee the execution of IT initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Identify and utilize emerging technologies to enhance business operations and improve efficiency.
  • Aligning IT objectives with business goals to promote innovation and gain a competitive advantage
  • Collaborate with business units to understand IT needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Communicate IT plans, progress, and achievements to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless integration of IT services
  • Foster a culture of compliance and accountability across the organization.
  • Ensure IT systems and infrastructure's reliability, stability, and performance.
  • Lead incident response efforts, minimizing disruptions and ensuring business continuity.
  • Foster strategic partnerships with key vendors to drive innovation and service excellence.
  • Assists in developing and implementing comprehensive cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls aligned with NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-53, and CMMC frameworks.
  • Ensure policies are effectively communicated and integrated across all departments.
  • Plan and oversee internal and external audits to evaluate SOX, NIST and CMMC standards compliance.
