About The Position

The IT Manager is responsible for leading day-to-day technology operations, supporting firm users, maintaining infrastructure, and ensuring secure, reliable systems that support accounting, tax, audit, and advisory operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 7 or more years of experience in a technology-based role.
  • Experience in an accounting firm, CPA firm, or professional services environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Active Directory in a hybrid environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and other Azure services.
  • Demonstrated experience with an ITSM platform and an RMM platform.
  • Proven ability to support common accounting industry applications and cloud-based platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and end-user support skills.
  • Experience with cybersecurity practices, including access control, MFA, endpoint protection, and vulnerability

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting tax, audit, and document management systems used in accounting firms.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Familiarity with cloud identity governance, lifecycle management, and conditional access.
  • Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and retention policy design.
  • Exposure to project management, vendor management, and technology budgeting.
  • Experience with compliance-driven environments, including confidentiality and data protection requirements.
  • Ability to train users, create documentation, and improve support processes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the firm’s IT infrastructure, help desk, endpoint management, identity systems, and vendor relationships.
  • Administer and support Active Directory in a hybrid environment, including Microsoft Entra ID, Entra Connect, and related Azure services.
  • Manage ITSM workflows, service requests, incident response, asset tracking, and change management processes.
  • Administer RMM tooling to monitor endpoints, automate patching, deploy software, and support remote troubleshooting.
  • Support cloud-based solutions such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and other SaaS applications commonly used in professional services environments.
  • Support accounting and tax platforms used by the firm, including tax, audit, document management, time/billing, workflow, and related practice management applications.
  • Lead security, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity efforts to reduce operational risk.
  • Work with leadership, vendors, and business teams to plan upgrades, evaluate solutions, and improve efficiency.
