About The Position

The IT Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation, reliability, and security of the organization’s IT environment. This role combines traditional IT management responsibilities such as helpdesk, infrastructure, and operations with hands-on leadership of cybersecurity practices. The IT Manager ensures systems are available, secure, compliant, and aligned with business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in IT operations, including infrastructure and end-user support.
  • Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity operations, preferably in a leadership or senior role.
  • Hands-on knowledge of EDR, XDR, DLP, and SIEM or log analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of networking, Windows environments, Active Directory, and cloud services.
  • Experience managing vendors and balancing operational and security priorities.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
  • Required use of standard office equipment including laptop, phone, copier, etc.
  • Typical office environment.

  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., A+, Security+, ITIL, CCSP).

Responsibilities

  • Manage IT Helpdesk operations, including ticketing, prioritization, SLAs, and user support.
  • Oversee IT infrastructure, including servers, endpoints, networks, cloud services, and core business applications.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of systems through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
  • Lead patching, configuration management, asset management, and lifecycle planning.
  • Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and operational documentation.
  • Manage vendors, MSPs, and service providers as needed.
  • Oversee internal network vulnerability scanning, risk tracking, and remediation coordination.
  • Manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and insider threat monitoring, including policy tuning and investigations.
  • Review and respond to security alerts, incidents, and suspicious activity.
  • Coordinate incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reporting.
  • Ensure alignment with security best practices, regulatory requirements, and internal standards.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for IT and security issues.
  • Partner with leadership to align IT and cybersecurity initiatives with business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, security posture, and user experience.
  • Support audits, risk assessments, and tabletop exercises.
