The Global Portfolio Management Office is evolving, and we are looking for strong leadership to drive the transformation into trusted partners that bring visibility and alignment across our portfolios that drive outcomes aligned to our strategic priorities. The Portfolio Management Office (PMO) has an exciting opportunity for an IT Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and leading various levels of project managers across the organization, with key responsibilities being career planning/support, training, interviewing, hiring, rewarding, disciplining, and conducting performance and salary reviews. You will be instrumental in helping to establish the foundational processes we seek to leverage in driving greater consistency in our project and program management practice. Qualities that will be pertinent to the success of the individual in this role are: Inspirational Leadership – Support the evolution and maturity of the PMO practices to bring our vision to life, recognizing when adjustments need to be made along the journey. Ensure roles and responsibilities, standards, and processes are in alignment with the PMO’s organizational expectations and encourage employee growth and leadership development. Relationship Management & Partnering – Partner closely with sponsors, stakeholders and the PMO team to align, collaborate and continuously improve. Navigate the IT organizational structure to gain insight and a better understanding of area needs and challenges. Process Improvement – Evolve processes that foster visibility and strategic alignment; incorporate governance and reporting to ensure our portfolio execution drives value realization. Lead in the presence of ambiguity and support teams in understanding the context and drivers behind changes, such as new processes, standardization, priorities and new roles and responsibilities. Communication, Persuading & Influencing – As the front facing department to the organization, the ability to influence through clear communication is essential. Sharing information, listening to feedback, validating and negotiating expectations, partnering and providing context will be a key responsibility. Planning & Organizing – Understand the fundamentals of project and program management and knows how to line up the right people and resources to get things done.
