What You Drive at DTNA As the manager for IT Shopfloor, you will own the vision, strategy, planning, development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive IT portfolio covering Manufacturing & Shopfloor Systems. Collaborating with key business stakeholders, you will be a critical thinker and strategic leader, driving enterprise transformation and tactical initiatives that reinforce our market leadership. This position reports directly to the IT Director – Operations, Engineering & Specialty Vehicles at DTNA. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience especially in Digitalization Initiatives across Manufacturing and Shopfloor.
  • At least 3 years of experience in group leadership, supervisory roles, or as a project leader.
  • Proven track record managing medium-to-large scale IT project implementations, especially rolling out manufacturing execution systems (MES/ERP/SCADA/IT&OT Projects).
  • Proficient in ITIL and IT Service Management framework
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complex business and technical subjects to diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in leading high-performance, cross-functional product management teams.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms and delivering software products in a fast-paced environment.
  • Security & compliance: working knowledge of identity, access, licensing, and audit‑ready controls.
  • Ability to provide clear direction, set measurable goals, and share insights on commercial vehicle, transportation, and technology industry trends.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to engage executive stakeholders with thought leadership and technical expertise.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish); effective across multiple plants and time zones.
  • A solid understanding of end-to-end manufacturing processes in an automotive industry.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams and business line functions to understand technological needs and align innovative solutions with organizational requirements. Foster effective collaboration across functions to drive shared goals and innovation.
  • Global Engagement: Establish strong relationships with colleagues within the global Daimler Truck community. Leverage these connections to share knowledge, adopt AI practices, identify synergies, and accelerate technology adoption on a worldwide scale.
  • Service Management: Drive best practices by collaborating with IT Service Management team and multiple vendors, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enhanced overall service delivery. Oversee outsourced IT services and maintain robust supplier relationships to ensure high-quality service delivery.
