About The Position

The Manager Enterprise Hosting Services is responsible for leading the design, operation, and continuous improvement of enterprise hosting platforms across hybrid cloud and on‑prem environments. This role focuses on building and developing a high‑performing, multi‑tier technical organization supporting compute, storage, virtualization, data protection, and virtual application services. The position has a strong emphasis on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) while ensuring seamless integration with on‑prem infrastructure, including hyper‑converged platforms from Dell and HPE, enterprise storage solutions, and data protection technologies. The manager drives operational excellence, platform reliability, and service maturity while maintaining strict financial discipline and cost accountability. Success in this role requires strong people leadership, the ability to rapidly grow team capabilities, and a commitment to delivering stable, secure, and efficient hosting services that support critical business workloads.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and hybrid infrastructure environments.
  • Deep understanding of cloud-native vs. traditional infrastructure (hypervisors, virtualization, etc.).
  • Experience managing multi-domain infrastructure teams (Linux, Windows, storage, backup, VDI).
  • Knowledge of infrastructure provisioning, automation, and operational tooling.
  • Familiarity with data protection, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • Experience with Citrix / Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop technical teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities in high-availability environments.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience driving process improvement and operational maturity.
  • Understanding FinOps, P&L, Opex/Capex and ability to do budget planning and tracking.
  • Infrastructure observability tools as well as capacity planning and management.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 8–12+ years of experience in cloud operations, infrastructure, or data center environments.
  • 3–5+ years of experience leading or managing technical teams.
  • Hands-on experience with GCP or other major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure transferable).
  • Experience managing hybrid environments (cloud + on-prem).
  • Strong foundation across compute, storage, and OS-level operations.
  • IT financials experience with forecasting, inventory and license tracking.

Nice To Haves

  • GCP certifications (Professional Cloud Architect, etc.).
  • Experience with FinOps / cloud cost optimization strategies.
  • Background in enterprise infrastructure or managed services environments.
  • Exposure to automation tools (Terraform, scripting, etc.).
  • Experience scaling teams during periods of rapid growth or transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise hosting services across hybrid cloud and on prem environments, ensuring availability, performance, and operational stability.
  • Build, develop, and lead a multi-tier technical team consisting of Technical Leads, Senior Engineers, Engineers, and Analysts.
  • Provide overall leadership and accountability for platforms supporting compute, virtualization, storage, data protection, and virtual applications.
  • Maintain a strong operational focus on Google Cloud Platform while ensuring integration and interoperability with on prem data center environments.
  • Oversee enterprise storage platforms, including NetApp, HPE Alletra, and Dell Isilon, ensuring capacity planning, lifecycle management, and service reliability.
  • Lead data protection and recovery services, including Cohesity and Dell Data Domain, ensuring backup integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Provide oversight for Citrix virtual application and desktop platforms, ensuring service availability and performance.
  • Establish and maintain operational standards, documentation, runbooks, monitoring, and incident management processes.
  • Serve as an escalation point for significant service incidents, driving timely resolution and post incident corrective actions.
  • Partner with architecture, security, application, and infrastructure teams to align hosting platforms with business and risk requirements.
  • Perform capacity planning and demand forecasting to support current operations and future growth across hybrid hosting environments.
  • Manage license usage and entitlement compliance, including tracking, optimization, and forecasting across supported platforms.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost optimization initiatives for enterprise hosting services.
  • Manage vendor and service partner relationships, ensuring performance, accountability, and alignment with contractual commitments.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance service maturity, team capability, and operational efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with the responsibilities of a Manager II role.
