About The Position

The IT Inventory Specialist manages the full lifecycle of CVRC’s technology assets—hardware, software licenses, and peripherals—from procurement through deployment, maintenance, and secure disposition. HIPAA compliance is related to this position which includes parts of risk management and planning. Navigates of IT policies and procedures for each asset tracking and is the one true source of IT assets.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and BS in Computer Science with 1 year in related field.
  • Must be competent with personal computers, both hardware and software and have a basic understanding of network principles.
  • Ability to operate in various Windows operating systems and to use the computer for e-mail and other computerized functions.
  • Must be proficient in MS Access & Excel with the ability to generate reports.
  • Must demonstrate initiative, self-motivation, sound independent judgment, flexibility, strong interpersonal, and excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assets life cycle management.
  • Maintains authoritative records of IT assets.
  • Tracks receipts, deployments, moves, and returns.
  • Receives and inspects shipments; validate against PO’S.
  • Administers asset management software to meet tracking needs and reporting requirements.
  • Maintains logs consistent with HIPAA and CVRC policies in regard to assets and software version.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of changes to assets.
  • Collaborates with Finance; reconcile with procurement software.
  • Tracks warranties and service contracts.
  • Works closely with system administrators and other IT staff to ensure accuracy and asset compliance is maintained.
  • Prepares records for audits.
  • Assists end-users with system access, software usage, and general IT inquiries.
  • Creates and maintains user guides and documentation.
  • Works closely with other IT team members and departments to support business operations.
  • Communicates effectively with non-technical users to understand and resolve issues.
  • Documents support activities and maintains accurate records in ticketing systems.
  • Supports effective and efficient business practice.
  • Maintains positive business relationships, confidentiality, good attendance, punctuality, and acts in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
