About The Position

PSEG is looking for a Summer 2026 IT Intern for the Cyber Operational Technology (OT) Team. This job involves working as a(n) analyst supporting Cyber Operational Technology (OT) operations, programs and initiatives, including cyber monitoring, threat intelligence analysis and reporting, security and network assessments, and vulnerability risk analysis for industrial systems and critical infrastructure throughout the company. Furthermore, contribute to the optimization of daily operations by developing automation solutions through scripting, enhancing the efficiency and responsiveness of the Cyber OT team. This position will be Hybrid Flexible.

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical area.
  • Graduating between December 2026 and May 2029.
  • Students graduating in May/June 2026 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2026.
  • Incumbents must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration.
  • Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.
  • Must be a citizen or national of the USA; OR a lawful permanent resident of the United States (Non-Conditional Permanent I-551 / Green Card / Permanent Resident Card holder); OR a citizen, national, or permanent resident of a “Generally Authorized” destination on the attached list not also a citizen, national, permanent resident of any country not listed; OR a “Protected Individual” under the Immigration and Naturalization Act (8 U.S.C 1324b(a)(3)).
  • Targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with OT cybersecurity analysts to monitor and protect industrial control systems (ICS), networks.
  • Participate in live threat detection and response activities, including log analysis, anomaly detection, and incident triage as required.
  • Assist in vulnerability scanning from risk analysis of OT assets.
  • Support OT network segmentation and asset inventory projects to improve visibility and attack surface.
  • Help and support with automation (scripting ie: python, etc) of day-to-day task for activities.
  • Document findings and present recommendations to overall team for improvements.
