IT Intern
About The Position
This IT Intern position provides Level 1 support for Windows and macOS devices, Microsoft 365 applications, and basic network connectivity issues. The role involves responding to service requests, assisting with hardware setup and deployment, performing account-related tasks such as password resets and user provisioning/deprovisioning, and documenting issues and resolutions. The intern will also escalate unresolved issues to senior IT staff, support onboarding/offboarding processes, assist with asset tracking, and participate in IT projects. Requirements
- No prior experience required
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (pursuing or achieved)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks
- Proven customer service orientation combined with the ability to work well with others
- Quick, analytical thinker
- Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts
- Ability to learn and master new platforms quickly
Responsibilities
- Respond to service requests via ticketing system, email, or phone in a timely manner
- Provide Level 1 support for Windows and macOS devices, Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint), and basic network connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, VPN)
- Assist with hardware setup and deployment, including laptops, monitors, peripherals, and mobile devices
- Perform account-related tasks such as password resets and user account provisioning/deprovisioning
- Document issues, resolutions, and procedures in the ITSM/knowledge base
- Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT staff
- Support onboarding/offboarding processes for employees
- Assist with asset tracking and inventory management
- Participate in IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives
