About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and eager IT Intern to join our growing team at TeamLogic IT. This internship offers hands-on experience supporting small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) with their day-to-day IT needs. Under the guidance of our experienced technicians, you will gain real-world exposure to managed IT services, technical troubleshooting, and client support in a professional environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone pursuing a career in IT who wants to build foundational skills, earn practical experience, and grow within a fast-paced and supportive team. At TeamLogic IT, we strive to provide the best customer experience (CX) to everyone we interact with — so strong interpersonal and communication skills are just as important as your technical aptitude.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree, diploma, or certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Prior IT experience is not required — a willingness to learn and a passion for technology are what matter most.
  • Basic familiarity with Windows operating systems and common applications (e.g., Microsoft 365).
  • A curious and analytical mindset with a desire to diagnose and resolve technical challenges.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain basic technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
  • A professional, friendly, and patient approach when interacting with clients and team members.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team setting, with a proactive attitude and strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

  • Any prior helpdesk, lab, or personal IT experience is a plus.
  • Exposure to macOS or networking concepts is a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Support senior technicians in providing remote and on-site technical assistance to SMB clients, helping troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues under supervision.
  • Assist with routine maintenance tasks on client systems, including software updates, backups, and system monitoring to help ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Help manage incoming IT service requests by accurately logging, tracking, and updating tickets in our ticketing system in a timely manner.
  • Communicate professionally with clients and team members, providing clear status updates and maintaining a positive, customer-focused attitude at all times.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining documentation of client systems, common procedures, and issue resolutions within our ticketing and documentation platforms.
  • Support the team in basic security tasks such as antivirus updates and monitoring alerts, while learning about broader security practices and protocols.
  • Help with the unboxing, setup, installation, and configuration of hardware and software for client environments under technician guidance.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing opportunities to grow your technical skill set and understanding of the MSP industry.

Benefits

  • Hands-on experience in a real MSP environment working with live client systems
  • Mentorship from experienced IT professionals
  • Exposure to industry-standard tools including RMM platforms, PSA ticketing systems, and documentation platforms
  • Resume-building experience across hardware, software, networking, and client support
  • Potential pathway to a full-time role upon successful completion of the internship
