Summer 2027 IT Intern (May 2028 Graduates)
About The Position
A summer internship opportunity for high-potential individuals who are currently pursuing an Engineering or Computer Science degree (Graduating in May 2028). This is a unique opportunity to spend time working with our software development or IT teams. The internship is paid and focused on the intern's development, with best-in-class role training, ongoing coaching, and development. Interns will experience a positive culture that reflects Gartner’s core values of integrity, objectivity, no-limits mind set, collaboration, and results. Participation in Gartner-sponsored off-site excursions and team-building activities is also part of the experience.
Requirements
- Earning a degree in Computer Science, Math or related engineering field
- Good software development and object-oriented design fundamentals
- Familiar with Python, Java, .NET, JavaScript, C# or HTML/DHTML
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be in a commutable distance to our Stamford, CT office
- U.S. work authorization is required for this role
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle databases is a plus
- Experience with front-end frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular) is a plus
- Exposure to AI/ML and GenAI tools & technologies (e.g., Cloud-based AI services, OpenAI, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) is a plus
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus
- Experience in web and mobile application development is a plus
- Version control experience (e.g., Git, GitHub, GitLab) is a plus
