About The Position

Amentum/SNS requires casual CONUS/OCONUS Technical Engineering resources to provide survey, installation, and configuration assistance for a Wireless Intrusion Detection System at various locations both CONUS and OCONUS. Work will be on a casual basis, with the installation schedule being fluid, offering 2-4 weeks of work every 2-3 months. Schedules will be arranged prior to actual installations and could vary in length. The work schedule is flexible.

Requirements

Prior experience with current IT installation procedures/methods.
Working knowledge of signal flow and low-voltage power systems.
Ability to climb stepladders up to approximately 10 feet or use scissor lifts for higher ceilings.
A minimum of ten years’ experience in a related field.
Superb analytical and problem-solving skills.
Great interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work in a multilateral environment with diverse stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Comply with company drug and alcohol policies as a condition of employment.
Successful completion of the drug screening process (may include pre-hire screening for marijuana, as well as other federally controlled substances).

Responsibilities

Perform antenna/bracket assembly.
Install equipment above drop-ceilings.
Pull and terminate ethernet cables.
Transport equipment between buildings.
Perform fiber optic cable installation and termination.
Execute tasks in accordance with all applicable Amentum safety standards.
Perform work in an environment that has a mix of business hours, and after-business hours, depending on customer building availability.
Maintain a safe work environment.
Conform to the Amentum Quality Policy and carry out job activities in compliance with applicable Amentum Quality System documents and customer contracts.
Read, understand and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures and policies pertaining to his/her job.
