About The Position

SB Energy is seeking an IT Infrastructure & Security Lead to spearhead the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the company’s enterprise IT infrastructure, cybersecurity program, and secure AI enablement capabilities. This pivotal role ensures the technology environment is secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate possesses a blend of cybersecurity expertise, enterprise IT infrastructure experience, and practical knowledge of emerging AI technologies. This position involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders, Forward Deployment Engineers, and external service providers to bolster technology capabilities, improve infrastructure and systems, manage cybersecurity risks, and support the responsible adoption of AI and automation across the organization. The role demands strong technical judgment, hands-on experience managing enterprise technology environments, and the ability to translate business needs into effective technology, security, and AI solutions. Reporting to the Vice President, HR & IT, this position is crucial for advancing the company’s enterprise technology capabilities.

Requirements

  • At least 12+ years of professional experience leading or supporting enterprise IT infrastructure, technology roadmaps, business systems, and managed service providers
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related field required

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor, or comparable cloud / enterprise technology certifications preferred
  • Experience implementing or maturing cybersecurity programs, including NIST- or ISO-aligned controls and audit readiness preferred
  • Experience with enterprise AI tools, automation, or responsible AI governance preferred
  • Experience in the energy, infrastructure, power, renewable energy, or data center industry preferred, not required

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the enterprise IT infrastructure roadmap in support of business growth and technology priorities.
  • Oversee the reliability, security, and scalability of cloud services, networks, endpoints, identity platforms, collaboration tools, and enterprise applications.
  • Manage IT service providers, vendors, and consultants, including service levels, performance, cost, and delivery.
  • Establish standards for identity, access, device management, system administration, configuration, and technology lifecycle management.
  • Support business continuity, disaster recovery, backup, and restoration planning and testing.
  • Drive technology improvements that simplify the environment, improve reliability, and enhance the employee experience.
  • Develop and maintain the enterprise cybersecurity program aligned with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and ISO/IEC 27001.
  • Maintain security policies, standards, risk assessments, the cybersecurity risk register, and the information security management system (ISMS).
  • Oversee security controls across identity, endpoint, network, cloud, SaaS, vulnerability management, monitoring, and data protection.
  • Lead incident response preparedness, investigations, tabletop exercises, and post-incident reviews.
  • Assess third-party and technology risks and coordinate remediation with Legal, Procurement, IT, and business stakeholders.
  • Coordinate security audits, awareness training, phishing education, and reporting of key cybersecurity metrics and risks.
  • Partner with business teams to identify and implement practical AI and automation use cases.
  • Support the secure adoption of ChatGPT Enterprise, workflow automation, AI assistants, connectors, APIs, and other emerging technologies.
  • Establish governance and security standards for AI use, including data protection, access controls, third-party risk, logging, and responsible use.
  • Review AI tools and integrations before deployment and help teams design workflows that preserve appropriate approvals and systems-of-record requirements.
  • Develop AI policies, training, and adoption resources, and help measure business value from AI-enabled workflows.
  • Support enterprise technology planning, investment priorities, and roadmaps.
  • Serve as a technology partner to business leaders, translating business needs into practical and scalable solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional technology initiatives and evaluate emerging technologies that can strengthen enterprise capabilities.
