About The Position

This position is for an IT Infrastructure Engineer for a large contract
supporting a cutting-edge and innovative space program. The IT Infrastructure
Engineer oversees developer progress in deploying and maintaining a complex
ground system architecture, with focus on Enterprise IT, networks and
cloud-based systems. This position provides support to the customer’s execution
of the Program with responsibilities that may include, but are not limited to
the following:

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and engineering of the network and cloud computing infrastructure, and applications.
• Work with development team to address architecture, integration, and technical issues.
• Advise on practical implementations and develop findings and work off plans.
• Translate strategic architectures into implementation level guidance.
• Support IT-related tasks in areas such as developing requirements, placing/monitoring service requests, monitoring cloud costs, and conducting on-premise vs cloud trades.
• Develop productive relationships with development contractor counterparts, functional counterparts, and other spacecraft, payload, and ground subject matter experts.
• Advise and mentor customer personnel regarding network and cloud architectures.
• Provide technical and cost assessment of vendor proposals, review technical reports, design artifacts and program plans.
