About The Position

As the IT Infrastructure Engineer II, you lead complex network implementations, administer and optimize server roles and endpoint solutions, and actively manage enterprise system configurations. You perform advanced troubleshooting across facility systems, cloud platforms, identity management, and security controls, ensuring alignment with NIST best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–6 years of IT infrastructure/support experience
  • Experience engineering solutions in Azure, M365, and SharePoint
  • Ability to implement basic cloud automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) concepts
  • Advanced knowledge of networking protocols (LACP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, RDP, PoE++, SSH, PPPoE, NTP)
  • Strong experience with hybrid identity environments (Active Directory/Entra ID, 802.1x/RADIUS)
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery processes
  • Understanding of surveillance, access control, and device integration technologies
  • Plan and execute infrastructure changes with minimal production impact
  • Troubleshoot complex, multi-layer (physical, network, application) issues
  • Perform Azure and AvePoint backup restores (file and mailbox level)
  • Manage vendor relationships and maintain clear technical documentation (SOPs/KBs)
  • Mentor Level I technicians and act as escalation point
  • Identify root causes to prevent recurring issues

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Certification(s): Azure Administrator Associate, Cisco CCNA, or CompTIA Server+/Security+ preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and manage enterprise networks (Meraki, SD-WAN, VLANs, firewall policies, firmware updates)
  • Administer Azure, Active Directory/Entra ID, M365, SaaS, backups, and hybrid identity
  • Engineer endpoint deployments, patching, monitoring, and security remediation
  • Lead advanced troubleshooting for network, cloud, and facility systems
  • Maintain documentation, diagrams, change management, and SOPs
  • Acting as the primary technical escalation point for level I
  • Participates in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation to assist employees and monitor infrastructure health after hours.
  • Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.
