About The Position

The Director of IT Infrastructure is responsible for leading the strategy, design, implementation, and ongoing management of all enterprise Information Technology infrastructure services, on premise and in the Cloud. This role ensures the organization’s network, cloud services (IaaS), Compute and Storage, end user computing engineering, and core infrastructure operate securely, reliably, and efficiently to support business growth. The position drives modernization initiatives, leads high performing technical teams, and partners closely with leaders across the business to deliver scalable, resilient technology capabilities. Success in this role comes from collaborating with other parts of IT organization; product, enterprise applications, custom development, information security, and operations to deliver high availability, high performance infrastructure that empowers rapid innovation. This role will advance cloud and modernization initiatives in partnership with stakeholders, bringing secure and scalable platforms. You will optimize spending while lifting service quality, using data and automation to drive smart decisions. You will help create an empowered, innovative, high performing team that loves partnering with the business and delivering solutions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading enterprise infrastructure environments across cloud and on prem.
  • Demonstrated success managing large scale transformations.
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), virtualization, networks, storage, compute, identity, and automation.
  • Experience with Microsoft ecosystem (M365, Azure AD/Entra, Intune) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and modern DevOps / infrastructure as code practices.
  • 12+ years of IT experience with progressive leadership roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a multi year infrastructure strategy aligned to business goals and enterprise architecture.
  • Lead cloud transformation initiatives, modernization efforts, and infrastructure automation programs.
  • Establish capacity planning, technology lifecycle management, and roadmap governance practices.
  • Oversee all enterprise infrastructure, including: Networks (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi, SD WAN), Cloud platforms (Azure, GCE, SaaS environments), Servers and storage (on prem and cloud), End user compute, mobility, and device management, Identity and access management (IAM) interface with Information Security teams, Disaster recovery, business continuity and high availability.
  • Ensure performance, reliability, scalability, and cost optimization across all infrastructure services.
  • Lead incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Establish and report on infrastructure KPIs and service health metrics to drive continuous improvement in availability, reliability, cost efficiency, and user experience.
  • Define and enforce cloud and infrastructure governance frameworks, including architecture standards, cost optimization, security guardrails, and operational controls.
  • Partner with Information Security to embed security controls into all infrastructure layers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and frameworks (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Oversee backup, resiliency, and business continuity capabilities.
  • Act as the executive escalation point for critical infrastructure incidents, ensuring timely communication, root cause analysis, and long-term corrective actions.
  • Lead and develop a high performing team of infrastructure managers, engineers, and architects.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level performance.
  • Develop and manage the infrastructure budget, including CapEx and OpEx.
  • Evaluate and negotiate contracts with technology vendors, service providers, and integrators.
  • Optimize spending through architecture decisions, license management, and technology rationalization.
  • Establish vendor governance models with SLAs, performance scorecards, and regular operational and strategic reviews to ensure accountability and value delivery.
  • Partner closely with Product, Cybersecurity, HR/People & Culture, Operations, and Finance to deliver technology that enables business success.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to executive leadership and non technical stakeholders.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on technology decisions impacting the enterprise.
