The LIS Implementation Specialist position will help define, configure, deploy, and support Laboratory Information Management Systems and products to be used by multiple specialty and core laboratory departments.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree
5 or more years of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory environment or experience supporting and deploying laboratory information systems
2 or more years of experience with Microsoft Suite
Ability to work with multiple groups including internal or external teams at all levels of the business
Ability to work on multiple problems, identify/correct production issues, effectively manage and motivate project teams
Experience with managing deadlines and schedules
Strong client and customer relationship focus with the proven ability to build and develop those effective working relationships
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Highly motivated and enthusiastic, a self-starter
Must be able to provide 24/7 product support on a rotating basis as needed
Microsoft Visio or Lucid flowchart experience

Responsibilities

Assessing, gathering and documenting the requirements and specifications of the various laboratory sites
Installing and configuring LIS applications to support the lab operations
Establishing lab workflows
Integrating the LIS application with existing products or equipment
Deploying the LIS solution and ensuring production readiness for the laboratory site
Providing training/support to the end users as needed
Traveling extensively to laboratories across the enterprise while working closely with a team of other specialists, laboratory personnel and technical support teams to ensure a cohesive and consistent deployment
Defining a standard and repeatable implementation process that can be leveraged at scale
Reducing the IT footprint within the laboratory operations from many diverse systems
