Protecting People.” We are seeking Help Desk Intern (IT/Engineering) to partner with our experienced systems administration team in this environmentally focused industry. This position is year-round for a local information technology or engineering student available to work part-time Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:45 am until 4:30 pm. Must be currently enrolled in an Information Technology or Engineering degree program. Responsible for the analysis, support, and maintenance of network and end-user computing needs in a manufacturing or office environment. They will install and maintain end-user desktop systems, maintaining consistent operating systems and applications on the user desktop. They will install and maintain computing hardware and software, peripherals, and telephony equipment. This position will also provide direct support to the end-users, including hardware and software issues. They will update help desk software tickets and documentation as appropriate. Excellent customer service and communication skills are mandatory. There may be opportunities to apply for a regular, full-time role with Smith & Loveless upon graduation. This internship has a rolling start date. Any qualified candidate can apply and start the internship before, during, or after the current semester.
