About The Position

The IT Help Desk Technician is responsible for providing advanced technical support to end-users for complex hardware, software, and networking issues. This role primarily handles escalated tickets from Level 1 support, requiring deep diagnostic skills and a high degree of technical proficiency to minimize system downtime and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT Support or Helpdesk role (Tier 1 or Tier 2).
  • Strong focus on customer service, patience, and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose complex technical issues.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to twenty-five pounds at times.
  • May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings.
  • Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
  • Experience with Dell Hardware, Canon printers, CISCO or UKG

Responsibilities

  • Technical Expertise In-depth knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Proficiency with Active Directory and/or cloud identity management (Azure AD).
  • Intermediate understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi).
  • Experience troubleshooting O365/Microsoft 365 or similar enterprise applications.
  • Serve as the SME for end-user support and basic administration of the organization's SharePoint Online environment.
  • Performs other job-related duties as necessary or assigned.
