About The Position

Relativity Space is seeking an IT Hardware Technician to join their IT team. This role is responsible for the full scope of computing infrastructure, end-user systems, servers, virtualization, cloud, networking, software services, telecommunications, and information security. The IT team supports every function across the company, from the production floor to flight operations, enabling Relativity’s world-class team to design, build, and launch rockets. The team balances near-term execution with long-term vision, developing scalable solutions and processes to enable the company's growth. Key responsibilities include Device Provisioning & Deployment (configuring, imaging, and preparing all employee hardware), Offboarding & Asset Retrieval (managing equipment return process for departing employees), Asset Lifecycle Management (monitoring hardware performance and identifying needs for upgrades/repairs), and Asset Tracking & Documentation (maintaining inventory of IT hardware assets).

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in IT support, asset management, or related technical role
  • Proficiency with Windows and macOS imaging and deployment
  • Familiarity with JIRA or similar ticketing/tracking systems
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent inventory management and record-keeping abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with enterprise device imaging solutions (e.g., SCCM, Jamf, Intune)
  • Experience supporting a large-scale (500+) user base
  • CompTIA A+, Apple Certified Mac Technician, or similar certification
  • Familiarity with aerospace or manufacturing environments

Responsibilities

  • Configure, image, and prepare all employee hardware including laptops, desktops, monitors, peripherals, and mobile devices.
  • Coordinate timely delivery and white-glove setup for new hires and existing employees requesting equipment.
  • Install standard software packages, security tools, and company applications while ensuring devices meet compliance standards before deployment.
  • Manage the complete equipment return process for departing employees, ensuring timely recovery of all company-owned hardware.
  • Perform secure data wiping and device sanitization following security protocols.
  • Conduct condition assessments on returned equipment and prepare devices for refurbishment, redeployment, or responsible disposal/recycling.
  • Monitor hardware performance across the organization and proactively identify devices requiring upgrades, repairs, or replacement.
  • Manage warranty tracking, vendor relationships, and RMA processes.
  • Develop and maintain hardware refresh schedules to optimize device performance, security, and cost-effectiveness while supporting business needs.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate inventory of all IT hardware assets using the asset management system.
  • Assign and track asset tags, serial numbers, purchase dates, and ownership records.
  • Generate regular reports on asset utilization, aging inventory, and lifecycle status.
  • Conduct periodic physical inventory audits to ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
