Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of IT hardware engineering, deployment, or field support experience.
  • Experience supporting classified or federal systems environments.
  • Experience supporting Special Access Program (SAP) facilities, systems, or environments.
  • Hands-on experience with desktop/laptop imaging, hardware break/fix, and asset lifecycle management.
  • Ability to lift/move IT equipment and perform physical installation tasks as needed.
  • Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST SP 800-37/800-53 security authorization processes as they apply to classified hardware environments.
  • Familiarity with ICD 705 physical security standards as they apply to SCIF and SAP facility hardware requirements, including greenfield buildout environments.
  • TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility is required for this position.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Dell/HP hardware certifications).
  • Experience with endpoint management and imaging platforms (e.g., SCCM, MECM).
  • ITIL Foundation certification or demonstrated familiarity with ITSM frameworks, including experience with enterprise ticketing and asset management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).

Responsibilities

  • Procure, configure, image, and deploy desktops, laptops, servers, and peripheral hardware in accordance with established standards.
  • Perform hardware installation, upgrades, break/fix repair, and preventive maintenance across facility locations.
  • Maintain accurate hardware inventory, asset tags, and lifecycle/refresh documentation.
  • Support rack and stack, cabling, and physical installation of hardware in data center, SCIF, and SAP facility environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware-related incidents, escalating complex systems issues to the Systems Engineer/Endpoint Lead as needed.
  • Coordinate with facility security officers (FSOs) to ensure hardware handling, transport, and disposal comply with classified and SAP environment requirements.
  • Support hardware configuration and integration for cross-domain solutions (CDS), ensuring equipment meets physical and logical security requirements for approved cross-domain transfer capability
  • Support VTC endpoint hardware setup and peripheral integration for classified and unclassified conference rooms across all sites, including multi-tier AV configurations.
  • Assist with hardware compliance documentation to support RMF/NIST SP 800-37/800-53 authorization activities.
  • Support deployment and integration of IT service management (ITSM) toolsets, including ticketing and asset management platforms, as part of the enterprise NOC/SOC operations model.
