About The Position

Parallel is a web infrastructure company. Our products are used by leading businesses in sales, marketing, insurance, and coding to build best-in-class AI agents with flexible and powerful programmatic access to the web. We've raised $230 million from Kleiner Perkins, Sequoia, Index Ventures, Spark Capital, Khosla Ventures, First Round, and Terrain to build the web for AIs. We're currently valued at $2 billion and we're forming a world-class team of engineers, designers, marketers, sellers, researchers, and operational experts to achieve our mission. You will own the day-to-day IT operations at Parallel's headquarters, reporting to the IT Director. That means keeping hardware, software, networks, and access running smoothly for everyone in the building — provisioning and deprovisioning equipment, troubleshooting issues as they come up, managing vendor relationships for IT services and supplies, and maintaining security basics like access controls and device management. You'll be the person people go to when something breaks, and the one who catches problems before they do. As Parallel grows, you'll help build the systems and processes that let IT scale without adding headcount for every new hire.

Requirements

Run IT operations at a company before
Experience in a fast-moving environment where you were the first or only person on the ground
Knowledge of device management
Knowledge of network troubleshooting
Knowledge of vendor relationships that keep an office running
Proactive in fixing issues without waiting for a ticket
Comfortable being hands-on and thinking about scalable process
Ability to move fast
Ability to identify and address small problems before they become big ones
Ability to work independently and know what needs doing
