The University of Iowa is seeking an IT Field Service Engineer to join our Physical Infrastructure team within Information Technology Services. In this hands-on role, you will help install, maintain, and improve the cabling and communications systems that support voice, data, video, wireless, and other critical technology services across our campuses. From installing and testing fiber optic connections to supporting major construction projects and campus events, your work will directly contribute to the technology infrastructure used by students, faculty, staff, researchers, and visitors every day. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving practical technical challenges, working in a variety of campus environments, and seeing the tangible results of their work. There is an expectation that the individual in this position will maintain effective, civil, and respectful working relationships with the University of Iowa campus community and uphold the University’s commitment to creating a welcoming and respectful environment for all. This position has a project assignment of 1 year and is classified as a "specified term appointment" as a Communication Infrastructure Engineer (PIB2) with full fringe benefits.
