About The Position

As an IT EPIC Application Analyst, you will implement, optimize, and support the EPIC EHR system, ensuring seamless operation and alignment with clinical workflows. Requirements

  • 3+ years Beaker experience
  • Epic implementation experience within the last 2 years
  • Epic full lifecycle implementations, experience supporting & managing multiple projects at a time
  • Bachelors Other in a related field or 4-6 years 4 years of equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree, upon hire
  • 2 years of relevant experience in one of the following areas: Clinical, operational, application support and implementation, upon hire
  • Development experience with applications in a hospital or medical related industry is required, upon hire
  • Experience working with project life cycle or project management methodologies is required, upon hire
  • EPIC Certification, within 120 Days

Responsibilities

  • Implement, optimize, and support our EPIC EHR system, ensuring seamless operation and alignment with clinical workflows
  • Analyze requirements

  • Champion your application and need extensive Beaker experience to be a lead for your area (lab)
  • Design, build, test, implement, and support information technology solutions to meet operational and clinical needs
  • Deliver project assignments of medium to high complexity which includes application design, and configuration build
  • Work closely with customers to document requirements and communicate effectively with customers and peers to implement changes
  • Support/maintain day-to-day existing functionality/programs/applications
  • Perform intermediate system analysis and troubleshooting to implement new functionality/programs/applications, and to analyze/research vendor release notes and documentation; understanding complete end-to-end system integration
  • Create thorough system design and build documentation
  • Analyze the functionality of the system and how it fits or not with operations
  • Troubleshoot basic problems and recommend and take appropriate action as required
  • Translate high-level business requirements to detailed technical designs/documentation
  • Collaborate with other analysts, staff, vendors, and leadership
  • Meet with department heads and executives on a routine basis to identify and prioritize their needs
  • Lead application management activities for a single functional area to achieve project objectives
  • Manage product lifecycle management, end user enhancement requests of moderate to high complexity, and technical aspects of the modules/applications that are assigned
  • Assist in identifying any barriers to adoption of clinical practice
  • Perform a variety of tasks to support the organizational initiatives
  • Facilitate performance improvement for the effective use of information technology
  • Support business/clinical operations with clinical and financial end users
  • Support continued system maintenance and optimization
  • On-call coverage (after business hours and weekends) is required, on a rotational basis or as-needed
  • Some travel required, both locally and overnight
