About The Position

Seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst (BA) to support IT project initiation efforts, technology procurements, and business systems analysis activities. The primary responsibility of this role will be analyzing IT project initiation requests and compiling documentation necessary to support new IT procurements, contracts, or in-house system development initiatives. As workload permits, the Business Analyst may also be assigned to active IT project teams. The Business Analyst will work closely under the guidance of the IT BA Manager, and successfully collaborate with business stakeholders, relevant IT teams, to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements. This role requires strong communication, facilitation, documentation, and analytical skills to ensure successful project initiation, procurement support, and solution delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience facilitating workshops, conducting interviews, documenting current and future state processes, defining functional and non-functional requirements, and supporting software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities.

Requirements

  • Experience working as an IT Business Analyst supporting IT projects, system implementations, or technology procurements.
  • Strong understanding of business/data process analysis methodologies and SDLC processes.
  • Documenting AS IS & TO BE Process & User Interface Mockups.
  • Ability to gather, document, and manage complex business, data, and functional requirements.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, documentation, and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting government or public-sector IT initiatives.
  • Experience with procurement lifecycle documentation and vendor management.
  • Familiarity with workflow automation, business process improvement, and enterprise applications.
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, Visio, SharePoint, Balsamiq, or similar platforms.
  • Active IT Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) Certification.
