About The Position

Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association is a member-owned, not-for-profit electric utility that provides power to rural Wright County and western Hennepin County. The cooperative has been a corporate citizen to the area since 1937 and currently serves more than 59,000 electric accounts. The IT Enterprise Applications Analyst is responsible for the administration, support, and lifecycle management of the Cooperative’s enterprise application portfolio. This role serves as the primary technical lead for core business systems including the Meridian ERP platform (Customer Information System and Financial Information System modules), field work management, ticketing systems, GIS and GPS related solutions, outage management systems, and other enterprise applications critical to daily operations. In addition to application ownership, this position is responsible for related Windows Server administration tasks that support enterprise applications, including operating system maintenance, configuration management, application upgrades, and backup/recovery activities. The role works closely with vendors, internal stakeholders, and subsidiary organizations to ensure reliable, secure, and well-documented application services that meet operational and business needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience supporting and administering enterprise business applications, including ERP, CIS, FIS, or comparable systems
  • Experience supporting Windows Server environments in an application-hosting context
  • Experience coordinating with software vendors and internal stakeholders for upgrades, issue resolution, and system changes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, OR equivalent professional experience
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and support new systems and technologies
  • Strong understanding of enterprise application architectures and dependencies
  • Windows Server administration experience in production environments
  • Ability to manage multiple systems, priorities, and vendors simultaneously
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with IT staff, business users, and external vendors
  • Experience with application testing, documentation, and change coordination

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrator and steward for enterprise software, including multiple modules across our business functions
  • Provide administration and ongoing support for field work management systems, and internal ticketing systems (including multiple subsidiary instances), outage management solutions, GIS applications, GPS fleet management systems, and other enterprise applications
  • Manage user access, configuration, security roles, application upgrades, and system settings across supported platforms
  • Lead application support efforts including troubleshooting, triage, issue resolution, root cause analysis, and prioritization
  • Lead application vendor coordination efforts for supported applications including escalation, upgrade planning, roadmap alignment, and issue tracking
  • Perform Windows Server administration tasks supporting enterprise applications, including OS patching, configuration changes, application hosting, and system hardening
  • Coordinate and execute application upgrades and related server changes in collaboration with vendors and internal IT resources
  • Monitor system health, performance, and availability for application-hosting environments.
  • Manage and support application interfaces, data exchanges, and integrations between enterprise systems in coordination with vendors and internal teams
  • Troubleshoot interface failures and coordinate resolution with vendors and internal teams
  • Ensure data integrity and reliability across interconnected systems
  • Support backup and recovery processes for enterprise applications and related servers
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and documentation for application systems
  • Ensure recovery procedures are documented, tested, and aligned with operational requirements
  • Design and conduct end-user training for applications
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing and user change adoption
  • Develop and maintain application use documentation, procedures, and support materials
  • Serve as a member of the on-call team and take immediate action to resolve issues that arise, including daily Help Desk tickets
  • Provide after-hours or offsite IT support at special events
  • Provide backup support to other members of the IT team
  • Document and maintain application support material including administration manuals, system diagrams, license agreements, and workflows
  • Observe all safety rules outlined in the Cooperative Safety Manual and make complete use of safety equipment furnished in order to comply with these rules
