About The Position

Support and proactively manage Bank applications to ensure maximum availability, performance, and security. Identify, troubleshoot and resolve application and system issues quickly and effectively. Collaborate with technical support staff, infrastructure engineers, vendors, project managers, and business users identify and address business requirements. Proactively monitor and plan system requirements and upgrade activities. Ensure applications comply with security, backup, and monitoring standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year College or technical school; a minimum of three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Specific job-related knowledge consists of Windows server, IIS, SQL administration.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to effectively present information to management, business units and peers.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using a PC or calculator.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions, diagrams, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft server operating systems; general knowledge and experience with databases that should include Microsoft SQL Server and DB2.
  • Execution experience and awareness of information security best practices, cyber security risk, and vulnerability management is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years technical support experience with a strong customer focus.
  • Knowledge and skills to interpret and create network diagrams, process flow, data flow, program design and maintenance documents.
  • The ability to interact effectively with internal and external clients for data gathering and design initiation.
  • The ideal incumbent is a self-motivated individual who is able to take the initiative to perform the work with a high level of accuracy and quality control.
  • Must be familiar with information security, Internet Architecture, Routing, DNS, Firewalls, Load Balancing, connectivity, scalability concepts and current industry practices
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, CompTIA Network+ or equivalent experience.
  • The associate is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.
  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able and willing to travel by commercial airline or automobile to remote locations within the continental United States.
  • Must be able to track and prioritize work across multiple long & short-term activities with frequent interruptions.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Fiserv applications is preferred; this includes Payments Processing and other Fiserv Premier solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain awareness of and compliance with all policies, standards, and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to the job
  • Troubleshoot and maintain production, test, and disaster recovery application environments to ensure compliance with security standards and meet availability and performance SLA targets
  • Adhere to change management procedures and utilize sound business judgement when planning system maintenance, patches, and upgrades to minimize the impact to Bank operations and customers
  • Collaborate with technical support staff, infrastructure engineers, vendors, project managers, and business users identify and address business requirements in the areas of process design, interface development, testing, user training, and implementation planning
  • Maintain awareness of applicable technologies to identify and recommend enhancement and improvement opportunities
  • Create and maintain application documentation (architecture, design, controls, data flow, support)
  • Researches application issues, performs root cause analysis, present findings and recommendations to management and/or business units.
  • Work with third party vendors during technical planning, implementation, deployment, and issue resolution
  • Provide the highest level (Tier-3) technical support for configuration, management and maintenance of systems, applications and technology interfaces/integrations.
  • Provide, present, and promote The Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers
  • Other duties as they may be assigned
