About The Position

We are seeking an IT Engineer (Professional Services) for a Japanese company located in Torrance, CA. This is a full-time, onsite/field support position. The role involves configuring and installing IT infrastructure for clients, providing remote and onsite troubleshooting support, and managing system administration tasks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with server environments, network devices, and virtualization technologies, along with strong troubleshooting and documentation skills. Fluency in both English and Japanese is required.

Requirements

Hands-on experience with Server environments (Windows / Unix / Linux)
Hands-on experience with Network devices (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto)
Hands-on experience with Virtualization technologies (VMware, Citrix, etc.)
Knowledge of LAN / WAN networking
Knowledge of IT security solutions for servers and endpoints
Knowledge of Storage technologies
Ability to perform onsite support and business travel as needed
Strong troubleshooting skills
Strong documentation skills
Fluency in English and Japanese

Responsibilities

Configure servers, PCs, networks, and telephony systems for clients
Perform on-site installation of IT infrastructure (servers, network devices, telephony systems, etc.)
Provide troubleshooting support both remotely and onsite
Support system administration for servers, PCs, and network environments
Document work records, installation details, and project activities
Maintain troubleshooting logs and document solutions for future reference
Report project status and issues to team leaders
Conduct product research and analyze market trends
Assist in preparing proposals and quotations for clients
Manage vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely project delivery
