About The Position

The IT Engineer II role involves working as part of a service delivery team, participating in client technology upgrades and projects. These projects can range in scope from Exchange migrations, complete network upgrades, network infrastructure design, Google Apps migrations/implementations, and Dropbox migration/implementations. The role also includes active participation in monthly meetings with network/server engineers and helpdesk technicians to discuss new issues, technologies, case studies, roadblocks, and outstanding incidents. Collaboration with Support Specialists and IT Managers is key for effective communication of issues, project milestones, and making recommendations to client management. Annually, the IT Engineer II will assist in researching, testing, and developing solutions for both corporate IT and clients. Ongoing responsibilities include participating in sales and strategy meetings with clients, maintaining a knowledge portal on the IT Intranet, developing Server Maintenance Policies for each client, and constantly monitoring and reacting to alerts via an automated network monitoring system. The role also requires attending and actively participating in departmental meetings, resource deployment of other engineers, coordination of resources on specific tasks, and working with IT Managers to drive innovation for end-users.
