The Department of Radiology has an outstanding opportunity for an IT Director to join their team. Reporting to the Vice Chair, Finance & Administration & School of Medicine IT Director, the IT Director position will develop, implement, and manage the IT operations team for the Department of Radiology, School of Medicine. This position will establish and manage a robust IT program for department needs. This position requires addressing the full suite of IT needs of the Department and Division, as well as those of client departments and divisions. This includes but is not limited to providing team leadership in a challenging service delivery business model, IT financial planning and management, strategic planning, policy and procedure development and implementation, risk management, information security, compliance, audit preparation, vendor services management, customer service, and direct user, workstation, server, and application technical support. Develops and manages support relationships, both external and internal. Requires strong yet tactful and friendly demeanor and presence. Must be comfortable working with senior University clinical, administrative, and financial management as well as researchers, clinicians, and support staff. Must be able to deal with uncertainty. Must have vision for IT in the Department and Division, must be creative and innovative, and seek novel solutions. The IT Director sets departmental standards and procedures for IT risk assessment, management, security implementation, and audit preparation both within and external to the Department and Division. Position requires collaboration and excellent relationship-building skills with senior administrative and clinical management. Position leads an operation that supports over 500 users.
