About The Position

This opportunity is for an IT Desktop Support Technician role, suitable for individuals with some experience, an IT degree, or those looking to advance their careers in IT support. The client is seeking multiple qualified candidates to join their Desktop Support team, offering a chance to gain experience with a local enterprise company and grow within the IT field. This is a first shift, contract-to-hire position.

Requirements

• Previous Helpdesk or Desktop Support or PC Technician experience is preferred.
• IT certifications are desirable for this role.
• CompTIA Certifications are desirable for this role.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and various software applications.
• Swap out laptops/desktops and deploy Windows 10/11.
• Re-image machines from Windows 10 to Windows 11.
• Assist users with logged IT-related incidents.
• Take ownership of issues by performing problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes, aiming to restore service quickly and escalating incidents to other support teams when necessary.
• Accurately record, update, and document requests using the IT service desk system.
• Install and configure new IT equipment.
• Resolve incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardware.
• Resolve incidents with printers, copiers, and scanners.
• Maintain a high level of customer service, ensuring efficient and appropriate treatment of all customers.
