Ellsworth County Medical Center (ECMC) is looking for an IT Desktop Support Technician who loves solving problems, helping people, and keeping technology running smoothly in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Entry-level technical role — customer service experience strongly preferred
  • Windows 11 configuration & support
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Basic networking (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi)
  • iPad/iPhone configuration
  • Smart TV setup and support
  • Strong communication skills — you can explain tech without the jargon
  • Excellent customer service mindset
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Ethical, dependable, and team-focused

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s Degree preferred
  • CompTIA A+ or Network+
  • Google IT Support Professional
  • Google Cybersecurity Certificate
  • Or similar credentials

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with computers, printers, phones, tablets, and other devices
  • Install, configure, and maintain workstations, smart devices, and peripherals
  • Work with third-party vendors to support systems used across ECMC
  • Track incidents accurately and contribute to IT process improvements
  • Maintain accurate inventory of computers, monitors, printers, tablets, and accessories
  • Submit equipment requests and reconcile received items
  • Decommission equipment following organizational policies
  • Grant, modify, and revoke system access in compliance with policies
  • Support technology best practices and security standards
  • Provide training and guidance to new users
  • Help staff adapt to new or updated technologies
  • (Other duties as assigned — because no two days in IT are ever the same!)
