IT Data Solutions Analyst I
About The Position
Responsible for creating, supporting, and maintaining IT data solutions that use rapid development tools. Participates in data analysis, data visualization, reporting, and information capture to support data utilization and data-driven decision-making. Relies on instruction and guidance from senior team members, leads, and supervisors. ARUP Laboratories is a national clinical and anatomic pathology reference laboratory and an enterprise of the University of Utah and its Department of Pathology, based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs and develop functional requirements specifications.
- Assist in designing, developing, and testing solutions that capture or communicate information.
- Analyze and map relevant business processes and IT infrastructure.
- Research rules that may affect solution delivery, including compliance, data governance, and organizational standards.
- Evaluate solution performance and effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Create and maintain data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Identify and address data quality issues and anomalies in a timely manner.
- Maintain documentation on reports, processes, and solutions.
- Participate in validating reports created by other developers.
- Participate in the enterprise report development group.
- Use training on data collection, utilization, and visualization best practices.
- Collaborate with team members and provide backup support for other projects.
- Assist with evaluating, selecting, and implementing processes, data solution tools, and components.
- Maintain confidentiality of information according to ARUP policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with ARUP policies and procedures.
- Continually assess current literature and best practices.
