About The Position

The IT Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions that protect the organization’s infrastructure, systems, and data. This role focuses on hands-on security engineering, cloud security—particularly within Microsoft Azure—and proactive threat mitigation. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a security-first mindset, and the ability to collaborate across IT and business teams to ensure a secure technology environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (required)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, information security, or a related role
  • Hands-on experience securing and managing Microsoft Azure environments, including experience of Defender, Purview and InTune
  • Experience of administering and using third-party security tools, e.g., Arctic Wolf, CrowdStrike, Darktrace or similar
  • Strong understanding of network security, cloud security architecture, and identity and access management
  • Experience with security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex security issues and drive solutions independently
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain security controls and architecture across on‑premises and cloud environments
  • Lead security efforts within Microsoft Azure, including identity, access management, network security, and monitoring
  • Implement and manage security tools such as SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and vulnerability management platforms
  • Identify, assess, and remediate security risks and system vulnerabilities
  • Support incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, and remediation
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and cloud teams to ensure secure system configurations and deployments
  • Develop, document, and maintain security standards, procedures, and technical controls
  • Participate in security assessments, audits, and compliance initiatives
  • Stay current on emerging security threats, technologies, and best practices
