About The Position

The business systems analyst plays a critical role in being the link between cross-functional teams (which often include business stakeholders, IT staff, project managers, developers, solution architects, and user experience designers) to troubleshoot problems and jointly develop a solution. Identifying and documenting functional requirements. Conducts workflow, process diagrams and gap analysis. Evaluates existing application products and develops recommendations. Writes specifications for interface programs. Coordinates installation. To excel in this position, you should be an experienced professional with in-depth knowledge of business processes and business system analysis techniques. The ideal candidate will also be dedicated and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain, Logistics Management and/or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of BSA or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence key stakeholders to support proposed strategies, process improvements and operational decisions.
  • Resourcefulness and ability to devise creative solutions to problems.
  • Experience testing and mapping various business processes and protocols.
  • Familiarity with industry technology systems to gather data and problem solve.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Work cooperatively with others.
  • Interact with employees and customers in an appropriate manner.
  • Use a computer for tasks such as communicating via email and preparing reports and work schedule.
  • Review and analyze data and information.
  • Plan, prioritize and monitor.
  • Complete assigned tasks/projects in a timely manner.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and communicate with key stakeholders.
  • Gather, review and analyze business and industry data, including KPIs, financial reports and other key metrics.
  • Liaise between various business departments and groups.
  • Assess options for process improvement, including business process modeling.
  • Maintain documentation regarding various projects, processes and operations.
  • Conducts technical workflow, process diagrams and gap analysis.
  • Evaluates existing application products that could address client requirements and develop recommendations where appropriate.
  • Evaluates alternative operational efficiencies.
  • Documents and refines system modifications.
  • Coordinates installation and first-use of new applications.
  • Resolves issues related to an application (new or current) involving, as required, team members, vendors, clients, etc. and escalates as needed.
  • Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work efficiently unsupervised.
  • High degree of creativity.
