About The Position

The Functional Business Relationship Manager III serves as the strategic liaison between the Human Resources, Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE), and Communications functions at BAE Systems and the Information Technology organization, aligning technology capabilities with functional priorities and enabling secure, efficient delivery of major technology initiatives. Key outcomes include a multi-year business capability and technology roadmap aligned with functional and enterprise priorities, improved demand intake, prioritization, and governance for technology initiatives, clear business case definition, KPI alignment, and post-launch value realization tracking, strengthened cybersecurity and CMMC Level 2+ compliance across functional systems and processes, increased cross-functional integration and reduction of duplicative technologies, improved throughput by removing delivery blockers and aligning IT shared services, stronger, trusted relationships with functional, IT, and sector stakeholders, greater adoption of enterprise technology solutions and reduced shadow IT, improved data visibility, quality, and integration for better decision support, and improved alignment to enterprise operating models and clearer accountability boundaries.

Requirements

12 years experience and Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent
Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders and stakeholders without direct authority.
Experience supporting executive governance forums, steering committees, implementation readiness activities, and senior stakeholder engagement.
Strong understanding of enterprise delivery practices, implementation governance, dependency management, and transformation execution.
Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, resolve competing priorities, and drive coordinated execution across distributed teams.
Strong leadership and management skills, with experience managing project managers and teams.

Masters degreee and 15 years+ work experience
Experience supporting enterprise headquarters or corporate function initiatives.
Experience operating within highly matrixed business and technology environments.
Familiarity with governance frameworks, lifecycle management practices, and enterprise implementation methodologies.

Responsibilities

Own and maintain the multi-year business capability and technology roadmap for assigned functions.
Operate the full demand intake, shaping, and prioritization process for supported functions.
Jointly shape programs with sector BRMs, PMO, Architecture, Cyber, and Value Stream Owners.
Ensure roadmap alignment with sector needs; reconcile priority conflicts.
Lead business case creation, benefit hypotheses, KPI definition, and value tracking.
Drive adherence to CMMC Level 2+ and enterprise cyber compliance.
Increase adoption of enterprise platforms; establish readiness and change plans.
Identify and broker standardization opportunities across functions and sectors.
Resolve delivery barriers and escalate unresolved blockers.
Improve data visibility and integration across fragmented systems.
Run a functional BRM scorecard and lead monthly performance reviews.
Communicate strategy and roadmap decisions with executive-ready materials.
Build trusted relationships across functions, sectors, PMO, cyber, and IT delivery.
