We are looking for an IT AV Specialist for our growing team. This position is located in Sedro-Woolley, Washington State. Department Summary: The IT AV Specialist ensures Janicki conference rooms, mobile AV systems, and company event technology remain reliable, standardized, and presentation-ready. This role installs and maintains conference room hardware, supports onsite and offsite AV events, maintains mobile AV racks and related equipment, and serves as a primary IT resource for livecasting and broadcasting meetings to remote participants through Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and related platforms.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in any of the following fields is required: Audiovisual Technology, Information Technology, Electronics Technology, Broadcasting or Digital Media Technology, Telecommunications Technology
  • Two (2) + years of experience in IT support, AV support, conference room support, event technology, or hardware installation/maintenance required
  • Experience supporting live or recorded meetings/events, mobile AV equipment, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, display/audio systems, or similar technologies preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must have strong customer service skills and proficient oral and written communication skills in the English language; must be accommodating and flexible while maintaining priorities
  • Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a U.S. citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3)

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, label, and maintain conference room AV/IT hardware at the Washington (WA) site, including displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, control panels, docking/connection points, and associated peripherals
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for conference room readiness and presentation; ensure rooms are meeting-ready, standardized, cleanly cabled, and functioning as intended
  • Support company AV events both onsite and offsite, including equipment preparation, setup, testing, live operation, teardown, and post-event review
  • Maintain mobile AV racks, portable speakers, microphones, cameras, cabling, adapters, capture devices, streaming hardware, and related event support equipment
  • Serve as a primary technical resource for Microsoft Teams and Zoom meetings requiring livecast, broadcast, webinar, recording, or remote-participant support
  • Configure and validate event audio, video, screen sharing, remote participant access, recording, and broadcast workflows before and during scheduled events
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and support AV equipment during live meetings and events; resolve issues quickly and perform root-cause analysis when recurring issues occur
  • Provide remote assistance and guidance for conference rooms and AV event support at the Utah (UT) site; coordinate with local resources and/or travel as needed
  • Maintain approved video capture, playback, and editing software as needed to support company meetings, recordings, training content, and event-related deliverables
  • Perform preventive maintenance, periodic inspections, refresh activities, and firmware/software updates for conference rooms, mobile AV racks, and event equipment
  • Order, receive, and maintain stock of conference room hardware, AV consumables, spare parts, adapters, cables, and cable-management components.
  • Maintain asset and inventory records for conference room hardware, mobile AV systems, event equipment, and key spares; coordinate replacements and warranty/vendor support as appropriate
  • Develop and maintain conference room and AV event documentation, including quick-start guides, room-specific notes, event checklists, troubleshooting steps, and end-user instructions
  • Partner with the Help Desk team, IT Operations, Facilities, Communications, Training, and business stakeholders on standards, event planning, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Promote excellent customer service in all end-user and event-support interactions; maintain good on-site attendance as an essential function of the job
