About The Position

JST is seeking an experienced IT & Automation Manager to join our central office. This role will be responsible for planning, implementing, securing, and optimizing enterprise IT systems and automation solutions in a government or government-adjacent corporate environment. This role bridges traditional IT operations with modern automation, process improvement, and digital transformation initiatives to increase efficiency, compliance, cybersecurity posture, and service delivery across departments. The position requires a strong understanding of government IT governance, regulatory compliance, and cybersecurity standards, combined with hands-on experience in automation technologies, systems integration, and enterprise platforms. This is a full-time hybrid position in Southlake, TX (1-2 days per week in office). JST offers a complete benefits package, a collaborative work environment, and strong company culture. Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in IT operations, systems administration, or enterprise IT management.
  • 3+ years of experience leading automation, digital transformation, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working in a government, public sector, or highly regulated environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Enterprise IT infrastructure (on-premises and cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GovCloud).
  • Automation tools and platforms (e.g., Power Automate, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, scripting with PowerShell or Python).
  • Systems integration and APIs.
  • Identity and access management, endpoint management, and network security concepts.
  • IT service management frameworks (ITIL or similar).
  • MUST be able to successfully pass a drug and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP, PgMP, or Agile/Scrum certification
  • ITIL Foundation or higher
  • CISSP, CISM, or Security+
  • Microsoft, AWS, or other relevant cloud certifications

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud services, and end-user systems.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of mission-critical systems.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Develop and maintain IT policies, standards, and procedures aligned with government regulations and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to automate business processes using RPA (Robotic Process Automation), workflow platforms, scripting, and low-code/no-code tools.
  • Lead automation projects from requirements gathering through deployment and continuous improvement.
  • Integrate automation solutions with existing enterprise systems (ERP, HRIS, financial systems, document management systems).
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation through automation and technology adoption.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop IT and automation staff or cross-functional project teams.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to understand operational needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on technology strategy, automation opportunities, and risk management.
