About The Position

RGP is seeking an experienced Interim IT Auditor for a fully remote, 3+ month consulting opportunity with a leading fintech and payments company. The role focuses on IT SOX testing, IT General Controls (ITGC), and IT Application Controls, with an emphasis on high-quality audit work and supporting compliance activities. The consultant will work independently in a fast-paced financial services environment and support audit activities involving AWS environments.

Requirements

• Recent, hands-on experience with IT SOX testing and IT General Controls (ITGC).
• Strong experience testing IT Application Controls.
• Experience with Key Report testing and preparing high-quality audit workpapers.
• Working knowledge of AWS environments.
• Ability to work independently and manage testing activities with minimal oversight.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform IT SOX testing, including IT General Controls (ITGC) and IT Application Controls.
• Execute hands-on testing of IT Application Controls and Key Reports.
• Prepare and maintain thorough, high-quality audit workpapers documenting testing procedures, results, and supporting evidence.
• Evaluate control design and operating effectiveness and identify potential control gaps or deficiencies.
• Support audit activities involving AWS environments.
• Document findings and clearly communicate testing results to relevant stakeholders.
• Manage assigned testing responsibilities independently while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
