IT Associate

Cirona LabsTown of Gates, NY
$24 - $29Onsite

About The Position

Cirona Labs is a cannabis manufacturing operation building out modern IT and data infrastructure to support production, compliance, and growth. We're hiring an IT Associate to be the hands-on technology presence at our Rochester facility. The role spans three areas: day-to-day hardware and help desk support, administration of our ERP system to keep it aligned with how production actually works, and management of our other software vendors. It's a role with real ownership from day one and room to take on more as our infrastructure grows.

Requirements

  • A technical foundation: coursework, personal projects, tinkering, an internship, or an early IT-adjacent job
  • Genuinely hungry to learn: you dig into problems until you understand them, not just until they're closed
  • Naturally notices what's broken or inefficient and wants to fix it, rather than waiting to be told
  • Strong attention to detail: you catch the small stuff before it becomes a bigger problem
  • Able to take ownership on-site day-to-day, with regular check-ins and support from IT leadership
  • Comfortable talking with non-technical users to understand what they actually need
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (WiFi troubleshooting, DHCP, printers on a network), or a strong ability to learn it fast
  • Systems-oriented thinker who's comfortable using AI tools to work faster and smarter, not just execute tickets manually
  • Reliable, hands-on, and comfortable in a manufacturing/warehouse environment

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework or certifications in IT, computer science, or a related field
  • Exposure to enterprise networking or security equipment
  • Exposure to ERP, inventory, or business systems
  • Interest in analytics or data work is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for hardware: laptops, printers, scanners, cameras, and production floor devices
  • Manage the day-to-day help desk queue for IT support requests
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues (WiFi, wired, guest access)
  • Provision and support new hires: laptop setup and management, account provisioning, basic Google Workspace administration
  • Maintain documentation of on-site equipment, configurations, and recurring issues
  • Learn our ERP system deeply: how it works and how production teams actually use it
  • Work directly with end users on the floor to understand their needs, pain points, and workflows
  • Configure and maintain the ERP so it matches real production needs: users, permissions, workflows, data quality
  • Serve as the first line of support for ERP questions and issues, coordinating with the vendor when needed
  • Help manage our other software vendors (support requests, licenses, renewals)
  • Coordinate with the Manager of Data Engineering & IT on larger infrastructure projects (network upgrades, system replacements/migrations, security initiatives)
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately rather than letting them stall

Benefits

  • As you master the day-to-day, you'll take on more responsibility across Google Workspace administration, networking, and deeper ownership of our business systems, with direct mentorship from the Manager of Data Engineering & IT.
